Description
You are looking at a 3D plant sculpture of the famous national symbol of France, Le Coq Gaulois.
Le Coq Gaulois decorated flags during the French revolution, and has been in used as an ornament at the top of church towers since the early middle ages. It is the emblem of French teams in international sports competitions, and can be seen on the shirt of 'Les Bleus'.
This Gallic Rooster / French Cockerel measures 65cm high excluding the pot. It has been lovingly hand-crafted at our topiary workshop in the New Forest. Our artisan sculptors use a combination of gavanised steel wire and coated mesh to create the shape.
It comes provided as a frame only which is perfect for growing your own plants in from scratch. If you would like us to include a plant, tick the box to add a plant we will include a young box plant (Buxus sempervirens) in a pot already growing inside your frame (pictured)
Use the wire frame as a cutting guide, trimming the foliage of your plant back as it extends through the frame.
Over time your plant will grow to fill in the frame completely and you will end up with a fully greened up living sculpture! An eye-catching, distinctive and unique feature to your garden.
Provided as frame only
Frame comes uncovered and without a plant as standard. You can use your own plants, unless you tick the add-on box this item does not come with a plant or pot. Choose to add a mesh covering or a plant.
Add a Box or Ilex plant
You get the frame with a young plant growing inside of it. Box is the more traditional choice, but Ilex has very similar foliage.
