This Prancing Horse frame has been hand-welded from steel wire and covered in Ilex Crenata (Japanese Holly).
This design is for a horse in a prancing pose.
The plants are woven onto the frame, so that the entire piece is covered in leaves.
All you have to do is clip it into shape throughout the growing season and keep it fed and watered!
An evergreen plant with small glossy, sometimes spiny, leaves. White flowers in early summer if not clipped and followed by small black berries.
Ilex Crenata prefers full sun or partial shade and well-drained soil. Water regularly but sparingly during growing season. Water less during winter, only make sure the root ball does not dry out. Feed regularly during growing season with fertiliser. Feed more often during flowering. Prune into shape in late spring or summer.
