This Jumping Horse frame has been handwelded from steel wire and covered in ligustrum delavaynum (box-leaf privet)
This design is for a horse in a jumping pose.
The plants are woven onto the frame, so that the entire piece is covered in leaves.
All you have to do is clip it into shape throughout the growing season and keep it fed and watered!
An evergreen plant with oval green leaves. White flowers in early summer if not clipped.
Ligustrum delavayanum prefers full sun or partial shade and well-drained soil. Water regularly but sparingly during growing season. Water less during winter, only make sure the root ball does not dry out. Feed regularly during growing season with fertiliser. Feed more often during flowering. Prune into shape in late spring or summer.
