Description
Syn. 'Senkaki'.
Acer palmatum is a large family of attractive shrubs and small trees. Deciduous and often with finely cut leaves, they often have stunning autumn colours.
Choose a sheltered position as cold winds may damage or kill young leaves.
Acer palmatum ‘Sango-kaku’ has lovely coral-red shoots during winter. The leaves unfurl in spring with yellow tints turning green during summer and followed by fantastic bright yellow foliage in autumn.
Acers make lovely structural trees.
